Position Overview

YVR Janitorial Services Inc. is seeking one (1) full-time Janitorial Cleaners to support the daily maintenance of a large industrial facility in North Burnaby. This position is well-suited for dependable, professional individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-presented environments in high-traffic, institutional settings.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the consistent upkeep of common areas and building infrastructure in accordance with established janitorial standards and site-specific protocols.

Scope of Responsibilities

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily cleaning and maintenance of hallways, lobbies, and common areas
Full sanitation and upkeep of washrooms
Cleaning of stairwells, elevators, and elevator lobbies
Sweeping, mopping, and general maintenance of parkade areas
Collection and removal of garbage and recycling
Restocking of washroom and janitorial consumables
Proper use and care of cleaning equipment and supplies
Adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Timely reporting of maintenance issues or deficiencies
Coordinated work alongside another on-site janitorial staff member

Candidate Requirements

Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
Ability to work a consistent Monday–Sunday daytime schedule
Physically capable of performing janitorial duties, including lifting up to 20 lbs
Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred (training provided as required)
Ability to work effectively within a large industrial or institutional environment
Reliable transportation to North Burnaby (Lougheed area)
